The Pathfinder management team has over 100 years of combined global mineral development experience in diverse geological and cultural settings.  We have expanded our team to include talent from the local Tonopah, Nevada area. 

Brianna Hanson

CEO & Executive Director, Pathfinder Development Corporation

Brianna has worked in development for over 15 years including mining, with US, Foreign and Tribal entities, and commercial real estate. Brianna has global experience creating, marketing and branding specialty mineral product streams, building supply chains and motivating entrepreneurial activities within companies. While she was CEO of Oregon Resources Corporation, they received awards from DOGAMI for reclamation and from MSHA for regional excellence in safety.  She has a Masters in Sustainability, Environmental Policy from Harvard University and a Masters in Business Science from the University of Texas, Austin. Brianna has served as a commissioner for the International Port of Coos Bay, Oregon, since 2013.

John Mears

Director, Pathfinder Development Corporation

John is a licensed geologist with over 25 years experience in the mining industry.  His experience includes exploration, development, operations, and finance.  He has previously worked with various junior and major mining companies both in the USA and abroad.  Additionally he spent over 10 years with The Sentient Group as a senior investment manager and global chief geologist.  John has served on a variety of Board and executive positions and brings a broad knowledge and experience base to the company.  He previously filled the position of Chief Geologist for Equatorial Mining during their exploration and operation of the Hall Tonopah site.

Rodney Chaplin

Chief Executive Officer, Pathfinder Energy Developments

Rod is the former CEO Landis+Gyr Australia & New Zealand and the former Head of Customer & Solutions for Asia Pacific. He served as the Head of Commercial for Toshiba Energy/L+G's energy infrastructure start-up, IntelliHUB. Prior to this he served multiple roles in IBM’s energy sector and has since served directorships in banking, charity & technology. Rod has a BE Hons Class 1 degree in Telecommunications, and Adv. Dip. of Electrical Technology. He has studied business strategy with IBM at INSEAD/CEIBS and financial risk management with the Australian Mutuals Institute.

Nathan Chutas Ph.D.

Chief Operating Officer, Pathfinder Tonopah

Nathan is a professional geologist with over 20 years experience working with a variety of exploration and mining companies, including Teck, NovaGold, Sandfire Resources America, and Era Resources.  He has served in a spectrum of roles, including senior positions in management and technical roles focused on exploration of greenfield, brownfield, near-mine resources, and project evaluation and advancement.  Nathan has worked on projects in the Western US, South Africa, Mexico, and extensively in Alaska and Papua New Guinea.  He holds PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of Washington and is a Certified Professional Geologist with the American Institute of Professional Geologists.

Ann Carpenter

Senior Consulting Manager, ESG

Ann Carpenter is a seasoned mining and mineral development professional with over thirty-five years of experience. Ms. Carpenter has global experience in corporate and business development, property and corporate valuation, and strategic planning and implementation, and is an experienced corporate director, technical advisor, and mining advocacy leader. She holds a Bachelors in Geology and her skill set includes mining and mineral development, legislation and government affairs, sustainability and ESG, and project development. She was formerly the President, COO, and Director of US Gold Corp. and is currently the CEO and Director of Remote Energy Solutions LLC and is a Director of both Ensign Gold and Eminent Gold. Ms. Carpenter has worked in the western USA, Mexico, South America, Africa, and Canada. She has been active for over three decades in many professional societies and associations, including American Exploration & Mining Association, Geological Society of Nevada, and MMSA.

Ben Cassidy Ph.D.

Pathfinder Exploration

Ben leads research and development for exploration technology. His experience includes signal processing and statistics for large data sets in a range of theoretical and applied contexts. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
